CORE VALUES

REAL TALK

[noun]  1. The philosophy of talking candidly and openly and honestly without fear of what others might think.

AUTHENTICITY:

Authenticity is the satisfaction of sharing your story, of acknowledging your truth, and of allowing yourself to be known and loved exactly as you are despite your imperfections. It’s having the courage to present yourself in the most truthful, raw, and unedited way, in the hopes of inviting others to do the same. It’s the belief that real connection can only be established through self-disclosure. So let’s shed our masks, ditch the facades, and dare to be honest—with ourselves, with others, and especially with God.

BEAUTY:

Beauty is innate—it’s the result of being made in the image of God. It’s a gift to be revealed, not strived for; to be celebrated, not hidden; to be treated as sacred, not devalued. Beauty cannot be contained within a narrow set of standards. Instead, it’s unique. It reveals itself through each one of us in very distinct ways. Ultimately, the role of beauty is to attract—and when God is the source of that beauty, we are attracting others to God.

(IM)PERFECTION:

Embracing your imperfections means realizing that you don’t need to be perfect in order to be loved by God. It’s letting Him love you in whatever state you’re in. It means striving to be holier without being discouraged by sin. It’s striving to improve yourself while simultaneously accepting yourself. It’s striving to find answers without being intimidated by the questions. It’s striving to find direction while being open to redirection. It’s recognizing that life is messy, but ultimately still worth living.

In a nutshell, this is where authenticity is more beautiful than perfection.
